Gent ICC

The ICC Ghent (International Convention Center Ghent) is a conference centre in the Flemish city of Ghent. The brutalist building was designed by Geo Bontinck in 1972 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Tindemans in September 1975. The project was set up as a ‘Centre for Manifestation and Congress’ with a multipurpose hall and 1000 seats for concerts and conferences. The building was also home to the Flanders Trade Centre and Culture Centre, and offered permanent exhibition spaces for the Flanders International Trade Fair and the Gentse Floraliën. The convention centre, located in Citadel Park, has a usable area of approximately 12,363m².
